Cocaine Charges for Foxborough Man Who Had Charges Dropped in State Chemist Case

A Foxborough man who's drug case was dropped due to the alleged tampering of evidence by a state chemist will be back in Attleboro District Court today to face several charges including drug trafficking.

The Sun Chronicle reports that Lorenzo F. Ditomasso will be charged with cocaine trafficking charges today. Ditomasso will also be charged with driving to endanger, being disorderly, resisting arrest, and assault and battery on a police officer.

On Friday night, an Attleboro police officer pulled over Ditomasso on Newport Avenue after the vehicle struck the curve several times. According to police, a bag with allegedly 78 grams of cocaine under the driver's seat was found during a search of the car.

In 2010, Ditomasso was arrested as part of an undercover drug investigation in Foxborough but the charges were dropped after state chemist Sonja Farak was discovered to be engaging in improper handing of drugs.
