Commons Eatery Owner Admits to Lesser Charge in Indecent Assault Case

Alfred Mazeiko, 56, of Raynham, was accused of indecently touching at least three high school girls.

FOXBOROUGH, MA - The owner of two restaurants has admitted to a reduced misdemeanor charge of assault and battery.

Alfred Mazeiko, 56, of Raynham, admitted that there were sufficient facts against him Monday in Wrentham District Court, according to the Sun Chronicle. The case was continued without a finding for two years.

Mazeiko, who is now on probation, was ordered to undergo a sex offender evaluation and perform 96 hours of community service. He was scheduled to go to trial for three counts of indecent assault and battery but two charges were dismissed and one was reduced to simple assault.

Mazeiko, who owns the Commons Eatery and the Penalty Box, was accused of inappropriately touching at least three high school girls at the Penalty Box. Mazeiko’s lawyer, Joshua Werner of South Easton, said the reduced charge reflects the minimal amount of contact in the incidents.

If Mazeiko completes his probation, the charge will be dismissed.
