Commuter Rail Price Hike Starts Friday

It's going to cost more to take the train to and from Weymouth.

Weymouth, MA — If you use the Commuter Rail, get ready to pay more starting July 1.

On Friday, rider fares across the MBTA will rise about 9.3 percent across the board. This is lower than a 9.77 percent hike option originally proposed, with additional concessions on students prices and a decrease in cash fares for a single bus ticket.

Here's what the hike means for Weymouth and both the Kingston/Plymouth and Greenbush lines. All prices are one way to or from Boston.
