Damaged Utility Pole Cuts Off Power for Some Residents

A struck pole has caused some homes to lose electricity.

A school bus striking a pole in Foxborough has caused some residents to lose their electricity.

Early Tuesday morning, a utility pole on South Street was struck, cutting of the power to a portion of the town. National Grid is on the scene according to the Foxborough Police.

While the pole is fixed, traffic on South Street is being detoured using Union Street, Granite Street, Prospect Street, and Water Street.

According to the National Grid outage map, 154 homes were affected at 8:30 a.m. with a restoration time of 12:30 p.m. listed.

At 9:41 a.m., only eight houses were without power.

No injuries were reported from the scene.
