Discovering the Joys of the Irish Culture at Patriot Place Festival
The annual St. Patrick's Day celebration featured live Irish music, step dancing performances and free family activities.
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – A rainy day did not stop Irish eyes from smiling at Patriot Place’s sixth annual Irish Festival on Saturday, March 14. The popular St. Patrick’s Day event brought the joys of the Irish culture to Foxborough with live musical performances and free Irish-themed activities for children of all ages.
Devri, a Boston-based band with major ties to Ireland, headlined several live music performances on the main stage located inside Splitsville Luxury Lanes and Howl at the Moon. The day also featured Irish step dancing performances by The Greene-O’Leary of Needham, Mass., Westwood, Mass., Milton, Mass. and Dedham, Mass., the School of Irish dance of The Harney Academy of Walpole, Mass., the Dunleavy Shaffer School of Irish Dance of Norwell, Mass., and the Sullivan School of Irish Dance of Newton, Mass.
Throughout the festival, families enjoyed face painting stations, a photo booth, a sheep petting area and much more.
