Ed Sheeran to Perform at Gillette Stadium
The six-time Grammy nominee will headline his first NFL stadium when he comes to Foxborough.

Two years ago, Ed Sheeran came to Gillette Stadium as the opening act for Taylor Swift. This September, he will return to Foxborough as part of his North American tour.
The six-time Grammy nominee will stop at Gillette Stadium on Friday, Sept. 25. Tickets to that show go on sale April 17 at 10 a.m. through TicketMaster.
Blending soulful vocals with organic folk introspection and irresistible hip-hop hooks, Sheeran will be headlining his first NFL stadium when he takes the stage on the home turf of the four-time Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots. The 24-year-old British singer-songwriter Gillette Stadium debut was at the Swift concert during a two-night stand. Fittingly, Sheeran selected the same venue for his first ever NFL stadium show.

“I remember the atmosphere inside Gillette Stadium when I was on tour with Taylor in 2013 being quite amazing,” said Sheeran. “It’s a bit insane to think two years later I would be back here to headline my first NFL stadium. I’m looking forward to the whole thing – it should be loads of fun.”
Long acclaimed as a captivating and creative performer, Sheeran is still riding high with the chart-topping success of his current single, “Thinking Out Loud.” Already one of the biggest songs of 2015, “Thinking Out Loud” has earned Sheeran the highest charting of his career at multiple formats, going to #1 at Top 40, Hot AC and Adult radio, as well as holding the #2 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for a staggering eight consecutive weeks.

“Thinking Out Loud” has also enjoyed global success, having gone to #1 in nine countries around the world, including his native United Kingdom. “Thinking Out Loud” is the third single from Sheeran’s RIAA-certified platinum album, “x” (pronounced multiply), which recently won “Best British Album” at the 2015 BRIT Awards and was nominated for “Album of The Year” at the 57th annual Grammy Awards.
With worldwide sales exceeding seven million, Sheeran’s second full length album, “x,” went to #1 on the album charts in 14 countries around the world and has since achieved platinum sales in 18 countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom, where it was the biggest selling album of 2014. The album is highlighted by a trio of smash singles – “Sing,” “Don’t” and “Thinking Out Loud.”
