Former Foxboro Woman Seeks Change After Husband's Death In Crash
Kristyn Britton Williams has started a petition to suspend licenses for people accused of vehicular homicide.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Kristyn Britton Williams, a former Foxborough resident, lost her husband last year when he was killed in a crash on Route 24 in West Bridgewater.
Her husband, Dwayne Williams, 46, died during a collision with an Isuzu box truck in February 2019. The box truck driver has since been charged with vehicular homicide, but Britton Williams was surprised to learn the driver was allowed to drive to court.
So Britton Williams has started an online petition through change.org to change that.

Her petition, which as of Monday, garnered 400 signatures, called for the immediate license suspension for anyone charged with motor vehicle homicide. Currently, a person charged with motor vehicle homicide, a misdemeanor, will not lose their driver's license unless they are convicted.
"Dwayne is one out of 300 people who were killed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts due to a fatal car accident," Britton Williams wrote in the petition. "The driver that killed Dwayne was charged with vehicular homicide and currently is driving while awaiting trial. In the Commonwealth of Massachusetts an individual does not automatically lose their license when charged with vehicular homicide until a verdict is given. You do lose your license in the state for a number of reasons some are the following ; three speeding tickets, three surchargeable events and three convictions for not having transparent windows on your motor vehicle, yes tinted windows. But being charged with vehicular homicide is not one! Driving is not a right it is a privilege!"
