FOXBOROUGH, MA — Rich Hill, a Milton native and former Red Sox pitcher, and his wife were arrested outside Gillette Stadium on disorderly conduct and trespassing charges just before the Patriots played Buffalo Saturday. Police told The Boston Globe Caitlin Hill repeatedly tried to get inside the stadium with an oversized bag and refused to leave when officers told her to.

When she refused to leave, officers said they brought her to a van to bring her to booking, and that's when the 39-year-old pitcher interfered, according to police. Rich Hill was told several times to back away from the officers, but police told the Globe he refused and was arrested.

The Hills were arraigned Monday in Wrentham District Court, but the criminal charges were changed to civil infractions, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney's office. A felony resisting arrest charge against Richard Hill was dropped, and each Hill was fined $500.
