Founders Day Committee Says New Members or No Event
Members of the committee say there will be no Founders Day next year unless they get more people to help with the event.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Could there be a second Saturday in June where Foxborough has no parade, no field games, and no fireworks? According to the Foxborough Founders Day Committee, the answer is yet.
It a letter written by Scott O'Donnell, Cindi Haddad-Drew, Steven Drew, and Krystn Gustafson, the committee responsible for running and organizing the yearly event says they need more members to help run Founders Day, otherwise, it could mean bad news for the tradition.
"At our last meeting we took a hard look at what is required and how many of us are left to do it. The consensus is this: If we don’t get some new blood in the next few weeks, we won't have the resources to continue this Family and Community tradition. We will be able to continue the fireworks display, at least for this year, but the parade and the field day will likely be canceled without your help," the letter on Facebook said.

Currently, new committee members are needed to replace some board members who are leaving. Meetings are monthly year-round and weekly closer to the event. Day of the event help is also needed for parade setup, field day, fireworks, and Sunday cleanup.
