Fourth of July in Foxborough: What You Need to Know
The Finish at the 50 road race and fireworks at Gillette Stadium are on tap for this holiday weekend!

Foxborough, MA — Thousands of runners return to Foxborough this weekend when Gillette Stadium hosts the annual Harvard Pilgrim Finish at the 50 and fireworks spectacular at Patriot Place.
One of the more unique races around, runners will have the chance to run across the stadium property and inside the stadium, with the finish taking place at midfield. Following the race, fireworks will light up the sky across Route 1.

Race Times

- 3 p.m. - Kid’s Race
- 6 p.m. - 5K Start
- 7 p.m. - 10K Start
Bib Pickup
- July 2 - 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
- July 3 - Noon - 6 p.m.
The Course
Both races will start just past the NRG plaza and Pro Shop, with the 5K looping around the back of the property, past the practice fields, and into the stadium through the Bank of America gate. After a trip up the ramp and around the 300 level, runners will come back down to field level for the big finish. Click here to see the 5K course.
In the 10K race, runners will go onto Route 1 before turning right onto North Street, then left on Beach Street. A right turn on Edwards Road, left on Young Road, and left back on Beach Street brings everyone back to the stadium for a trip past the South Marketplace and finish on the field. Road Closures
Due to the race, the following roads will be closed to vehicle traffic from 6:45 to about 8 p.m.
- North Street from Route 1 to Putnam Parkway
- North Street
- Edwards Road
- Young Road
The following roads will have no exit from 6:45 to about 8 p.m.
- Meadowview Road
- Chase Lane
- Hallowell Road
- McKenzie Lane
- Munroe Street
- Mecastland Way
- Camp Road
- Ashcroft Lane
The Fireworks!
The 20-minute fireworks display at Patriot Place is scheduled to start at 9 p.m. The show is accompanied by a musical score available on Dean College Radio, Power 88 FM (88.3 FM). Families may bring tents and picnic to the fireworks, but open flames and grills are not allowed.
Parking for the road races and fireworks are free.
