Foxboro Based Company to Appear on National Geographic Channel Show

If you watch the National Geographic Channel, you may see some familiar faces next week.

On Oct. 17, Big Bad Wood, a TV show about four tree trimming companies around Boston premiers on the channel. Among the companies profiled will be Tree Tech Inc. of Foxboro.

The series will document the Tree Tech crew’s daily challenges of tree work whether it’s removing large dangerous trees to working high above the ground.

"It's been a great adventure. I never would have imagined when I started the company over 25 years ago that I'd be featured on National Geographic. It's a real honor," said Tree Tech president and founder Andy Felix on the company’s website

The company employs about 80 people has additional locations in Wellesley, Fall River, Marshfield, and Providence, RI.

Big Bad Wood premiers next Thursday at 9 p.m. The National Geographic Channel can be found on channel 210(SD)/821(HD) on Comcast Xfinity and 121(SD)/621(HD) on Verizon FiOS.
