Foxboro Coronavirus Update: Election Likely Postponed, New Cases
There were two new cases of the new coronavirus announced in Foxborough. Town meeting and the election are expected to be postponed.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — There are two new cases of the new coronavirus in Foxborough, according to town officals.
Since the start of the pandemic,Town Manager William Keegan said 27 residents have tested positive for COVID-19. Keegan said eight of those residents have recovered.
"We are up a little since yesterday, but not significantly, which is good news," Keegan said in a Facebook Live Wednesday. "We are still in a good position compared to other areas ... There may be other cases we don't know about ... but these are the ones we've tested and identified."

Keegan emphasized the significance of the social distancing and good hygiene practices that must be practiced to limit the number of potential cases in the community.
Keegan said he's been doing daily Facebook Live broadcasts from his office to keep residents informed of the impacts to Foxborough. He intends to continue the broadcasts until the health emergency subsides.

Keegan said both Annual Town Meeting and the Town Election scheduled for May 4 are expected to be postponed.
He said both are expected to be moved to sometime in June. The Board of Selectmen are scheduled to vote on postponings next week.
