FOXBOROUGH, MA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

This submission comes from Millie Cetrone, who nominated her daughter Jenna Carew, a police officer in Boston with the Massachusetts Port Authority. Carew is a third-generation officer who's handled the new coronavirus crisis with a "caring and loving" attitude.

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
She’s a police officer on the front lines during this pandemic. She goes into work everyday despite the risks of COVID-19. She is setting a great example for her 3 year old daughter.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
Jenna is a very caring and loving person. She has never once questioned going into work during this pandemic. She is a 3rd generation police officer and we love and appreciate her!
