Foxborough 2019 Memorial Day Parade Information
Find out the Memorial Day schedule, what's open, and when to put your trash out on the holiday.
FOXBOROUGH, MA — Foxborough has announced plans for the annual Memorial Day Parade. The parade and ceremony begins at 9 a.m., May 27, at the Church of Emmanuel on Central Street. The parade will make its way towards the center of town, where it will end. The parade will be followed by a ceremony and speakers on the Common at 9:30 a.m.
Here's the full schedule:
- 9 a.m. - The event will begin with a parade to the Foxborough Common from the TD Bank parking lot and head straight to the south end of the common.
- 9:30 a.m. - The rest of the ceremonies will include The Pledge of Allegiance, National Anthem, America the Beautiful, remarks by honored guests, the laying of Memorial Wreathes, and a roll call of the veterans who have passed since the last Memorial Day.
- 10 a.m. - The ceremony will conclude with rendering of honors and the playing of Taps.
- 10:30 a.m. - All attendees are welcome to a light lunch at the home of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2626 and American Legion Post 93 on Cocasset Street.
For those who cannot make the parade, Foxboro Cable Access will air the event live on their Government Channel on Xfinity 22 and FiOS 38 and online at FCATV.org.

What's Open And Closed On Memorial Day
The holiday also means government offices and some businesses will be closed. Before you head out, check our list of what's open and closed on the holiday
- Retail stores: Open at owner's discretion
- Supermarkets: Open
- Convenience stores: Open
- Bars: Open
- Banks: Closed
- Basically anything to do with municipal government: Closed
- Libraries, see above: Closed
- Schools: Closed
- Mail: Express delivery only
- Trash/recycling collection: Delayed one day. Monday pickup on Tuesday, Tuesday pickup on Wednesday, etc., ending with Friday pickup on Saturday.
