FOXBOROUGH, MA — July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day. We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Foxborough so you can start planning now.

Foxborough celebrates Independence Day on July 3, and it's expected to be a hot one. With temperatures reaching a high of 90 and 40 percent humidity, it's important people stay hydrated while enjoying their Fourth of July celebrations.

July 4th Festivities

What: 10th Annual Finish at the 50 presented by Harvard Pilgrim Health Care

Where: Patriot Place

When: July 3: Kids Fun Run (5 p.m. start), the 5K (6:30 p.m. start) and 10K (7:30 p.m. start)

As in past years, there will be a 5K that will take place on stadium grounds at 6 p.m. and a 10K that goes around Foxborough and Patriot Place at 7 p.m. Both races will end inside the stadium at midfield. There's also a run for kids 12 and under, which like the other races, finishes on the 50 yard line at Gillette Stadium. A limited number of adults will be allowed on the field to watch their children run and for them to take pictures. All the road races will raise money to support Homes For Our Troops, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building and donating specially adapted custom homes for severely injured post-9/11 veterans. From 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., on July 2, race participants are invited to come to Gillette Stadium to take a photo with the Patriots most recent Super Bowl Championship trophy.

What: Patriots Place Fourth Of July Activities Day 1

Where: Patriot Place Plaza

When: Festivities start at 6 p.m., on July 2

At 6 p.m., on the Patriot Place Plaza, there will be free frozen yogurt samples from Menchie’s, music from a live DJ, lawn games, face painting and appearances by Uncle Sam and Revolution Patriot stilt walkers. At 7 p.m., Patriot Place will kick off its annual Summer Flicks Outdoor Movie Series with a free showing of Captain America. These activities around Patriot Place are free and open to the public.

What: Patriots Place Fourth Of July Activities Day 2

Where: Patriot Place Plaza

When: Begins at 2 p.m, July 3

Patriot Place will host live music performances by Devri, World Premier Band and Massive Groove on the main stage located outside of Splitsville Luxury Lanes, beginning at 2 p.m. Other activities throughout the day include balloon twisting by Dan’s Balloons, a caricature artist and oversized games like JENGA. There will also be appearances by the New England Revolution Street Team, the New England Patriots Cheerleaders, Pat Patriot and the End Zone Militia.

What: Fireworks

Where: Patriot Place

When: 9:30 p.m., July 3

Following the conclusion of the 10K race, the annual fireworks show will cap the Finish at the 50 festivities in spectacular fashion with a 20-minute display beginning at 9:30 p.m. The fireworks can be seen with Gillette Stadium as the backdrop throughout Patriot Place’s North Marketplace and parking lots. Parking is free for the event.
