Foxborough Buzzing with Excitement Over Trader Joe's Arrival
Foxborough residents are thrilled to see the neighborhood grocery store coming to Patriot Place in September.

The neighborhood grocery store has created plenty of positive buzz around town since the .

Other Foxborough Patch readers have shared their excitement of Trader Joe’s arrival on Patch and Facebook, which intensified after the company announced it would be opening at its Patriot Place location on Sept. 7.
“Never been to a Trader Joe's,” said Foxborough Patch reader Irene Giagkas on Facebook. “Can't wait to see.”

The Patriot Place Trader Joe's is approximately 16,000 square feet, according to a press release announcing the grocery store’s September opening. The new Foxborough business will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, is scheduled to offer beer and wine, and will have plenty of customer parking spaces. It will be located in the South Marketplace between and in the space formerly occupied by Circuit City.
for the Foxborough location and in the first two days had gathered over 500 applications, according to Trader Joe’s representative Rachel Broderick.
She added that the store will continue accepting applications because it is “always hiring.”

Maureen England said she was excited about the “gluten free” selection the store offers.
Jennifer Ooi said she’s looking forward “delicious sauces, coffee, cheese, spices and chocolates.”
Santina Kingsley told us that the “good healthy food at reasonable prices” was the reason for her excitement and Nancy Harris-Brody agreed.
Donna Elder Richardson said she was excited for “something new” to get away from “the same old same old that's in the ‘other’ stores.”
Joan Elder Costa pointed out the store’s “creative and different appetizers for entertaining and good wines at bargain prices.”

From , Foxborough Board of Selectmen chair James DeVellis called Trader Joe’s a “great company with a terrific community reputation” that “brings variety and choice” for Foxborough residents. He’s even already planned his first trip.
“Personally, I do all my business printing at Staples next door and having Trader Joe’s in the South Plaza is very convenient.”
The longstanding success of Trader Joe’s around the country, dating back to the 1950s, has DeVellis personally excited for the store’s arrival in town.
“Having a company that is sought after by many towns show confidence to come to Foxborough and Patriot Place is something special for us,” DeVellis said. “Attracting this type of business does not come easy and I know the Kraft Organization worked hard to put this deal together, which is fantastic for all.”
Others in the area expressed similar enthusiasm when Trader Joe’s announced its plans to come to Foxborough at the beginning of the year.
“I am a long time Trader Joe's shopper,” said Jen Vondenbrink on Patch on Jan. 8. “Until I moved to Foxboro, it's where I did most of my shopping. I'm excited to be able to get back to doing my regular shopping at Trader Joe’s.”

The store will feature a festive décor that mixes traditional Trader Joe’s elements such as cedar covered walls and Hawaiian motifs, combined with a local flair that includes art celebrating the neighborhood and the home town team, the New England Patriots.
