Foxborough Couple to Compete on Survivor

A Foxborough couple will compete on Survivor.

A local couple has been selected to take part in the 29th installment of the hit CBS reality TV show Survivor.

Jeremy and Val Collins of Foxborough will compete in the latest edition of the long-running series and try to stay on the island the longest to win the $1 million grand prize.

This season will be played under the blood vs. water banner, meaning that pairs of loved ones will be split into separate tribes and placed in direct competition with each other.

“I am excited to play the game with Jeremy, but our game will probably be different, and that will be hard because I may have to change my game and go against my gut based on his instinct,” Val told Entertainment Weekly. “Playing with a loved one brings emotions to the game right from the beginning. You have to watch their back just as much.”

Also speaking to EW, Jeremy, displayed much confidence in his chances for victory.

“I believe my whole makeup is prime for this game. I don’t need to eat much, I am athletic, and I am likable. I also can make people feel like I like them even if I don’t, which will help in blindsides,” he told the magazine.

The Collins will be going up against 16 other players split into two tribes of nine. Later in the show, the tribes will merge into one.

Both members should get a lot of support from the local public safety community. Val is an officer in the Foxborough Police Department while Jeremy is a firefighter in Cambridge.
