Foxborough Man Allegedly Involved in Dedham Accident Arrested in North Attleboro on Drunk Driving Charge

Michael J. Carter, 21, was charged with drunk driving and driving to endanger.

A Foxborough man has been accused of drunk driving after police in North Attleboro stopped him after noticing damage to his car he allegedly obtained in an accident in Dedham.

Michael J. Carter, 21, was charged with drunk driving and driving to endanger on Wednesday in Attleboro District Court. He pleaded innocent to the charges and is free on personal recognizance according to the Sun Chronicle.

On Tuesday night, a North Attleboro police officer noticed Carter’s vehicle which matched the description of a vehicle with heavy front-end damage that was involved in an accident in Dedham earlier in the day. Shortly later, Carter allegedly failed a sobriety field test and was arrested.

Carter’s lawyer disputed the assertion concerning the sobriety check and said her client would fight the charges.

The Dedham accident remains under investigation.

Carter is scheduled to be back in court on Feb. 18.
