Foxborough Man Arrested on Kidnapping Charges

A Foxborough man is being held on $10,000 bail after he was arrested on kidnapping charges Monday night.
Eric Hartwell, 21, is charged him with kidnapping, assault and battery, and witness intimidation.
At 11:02 p.m., police received a call from a male on East Belcher Road stating that a female came to his door hysterical and covered in mud. The female said that she was being held against her will for an extended period of time in the woods.

At 11:13 p.m., patrolman Shawn Buckey noticed a vehicle exiting the woods near the reporting party’s home while investigating the area.
By 11:47 p.m., patrolman James Payne had made contact with the vehicle. After Hartwell registered a .143 on a preliminary breath test, police took him into custody.

Hartwell was scheduled to be arraigned at Wrentham District Court on Tuesday.
The victim was taken to Norwood Hospital for medical treatment.
