Foxborough Officers Help Arrest Boston Vehicle Gang Members in Walpole

Police say members of Boston Bike Life were operating off-road vehicles recklessly.

WALPOLE, MA - 21 people have been taken charged in a reckless driving investigation.

On Sunday at about 5:30 p.m., officers with the Boston Police Auto Theft Unit, the Walpole Police Department, Massachusetts Environmental Police, Special Agents from the National Insurance Crime Bureau and members of the Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council conducted a mass arrest in the area of 16 Renmar Ave. in Walpole, police said.

Those arrested are allegedly part of a Boston-based group called Boston Bike Life. In the past few weeks, residents in Walpole have told police that off-road vehicles were bring operated recklessly. Upon hearing the complaints, the Walpole and Boston Police Departments conducted a joint operation to make the arrests.

"This wide sweeping investigation was in direct response to numerous complaints from the communities we serve," Boston Police Commissioner William Evans said in a release, "We will continue to take any and all steps necessary to ensure the safety of the law abiding citizens of Boston.”

Seven individuals were summonsed to appear in court while fourteen were placed under arrest. Six motor vehicles and eleven dirt bikes and all-terrain vehicles were impounded.

In total, four people were taken into custody by Foxborough officers. Jason Martinez, 22, of Dorchester; Giovanny Martinez, 21, of Dorchester; Dany Paulino, 18, of Dorchester; and James Hines, 23, of Rockland; were all arrested on straight warrants.

All parties will appear in Wrentham District Court on numerous motor vehicle charges.
