The McGinty Meeting Room at the Foxborough Public Safety Building will remain open to the public for those residents whose need to charge their cell phone or stay warm. The room will remain open to residents until power is fully restored, Keegan wrote in a statement.
"My thanks go out to all of our public safety personnel, our public works personnel, several residents who have voluntarily stepped in to assist residents- particularly the Foxborough Volunteer Safety Corp and the members of Foxborough's Boy Scout troops who have assisted with the shelter. We want to thank NGrid staff members and the crews from around the country who have been working around the clock to restore our power under very challenging circumstances," Keegan wrote. "Thank you to the members of Boy Scout Troop 32 and 7 for your help to assemble bedding at the temporary shelter at the Taylor School."
