Foxborough to Pay Tribute to 9/11 Victims This Weekend
There will be events all weekend long.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — 9/11 will be on Foxborough's mind this weekend as the town prepares to remember those lost on the 15th anniversary of the tragic event.
The weekend starts with McGinty Family Fun Day at the Common, Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The event is held in memory of Michael McGinty, who was killed in the attack. The event will include a moonwalk, games, prizes, crafts, face painting, caricature artists, cookie decorating, balloon art, raffles and much more, according to Cindy McGinty, wife of the late Michael McGinty. There will also be a collection drive to benefit the Mass Military Heroes Fund Overseas Package Drive to Soldiers. More information is available on the event page's listing.
Sunday morning, the Foxborough Fire Department will hold a remembrance ceremony at 10 a.m. Assembly will take place at 9:30 a.m. Later that evening, the Foxboro Jaycees will hold a quiet candlelight memorial at the Common from 6:30-8 pm. Free candles and pinwheels will be given out by the Jaycees. Cindy McGinty will be the only speaker and the vigil will consist of music, candles, and the names of the 3,000 victims scrolling on a screen on the bandstand.
