Foxborough PD Raise Most Money For Dana Farber Pink Patch Project
Foxborough raised the most money out of the 25 police agencies who took part in this year's Pink Patch Project.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — The holidays is often called the time for giving, but the police department, with the help of residents worked towards this gift since July.
Since the summer, the Foxborough Police Department raised $16,340 for Dana Farber Cancer Institute selling pink police patches. The department Wednesday morning presented the check to Elizabeth Seaburg from Dana Farber.
According to Seaburg, Foxborough raised the most money out of the 25 police agencies who took part in this year's Pink Patch Project. The money will be split between cancer research and treatment for patients.

We would like to thank each and every one of you who purchased a patch and helped contribute to this campaign," Detective Patrick Morrison said. "The success of this program was all thanks to you. Congratulations and thank you for your contributions, which will help so many women in the future."
The patches were sold for $10. Officers sold the pink patches around town for months, including volunteering at tables outside the local Stop & Shop.

Originally, sales started from word of mouth and grew into Facebook sales and more. According to Detective Jim Morrison, the department ended up getting requests to mail the patches to other states and even other countries including, Australia, Ireland, Spain, Iceland, Germany and more.
