Foxborough Police Promote Richard Noonan To Deputy Chief
Richard Noonan became the next deputy police chief in Foxborough after serving in the department for 21 years.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — The police department promoted Richard Noonan to the rank of deputy chief. Noonan has been a Foxborough police officer for 21 years, and throughout that time, has served in many leadership roles including director of field training, drug recognition expert, patrol sergeant, Homeland Security liaison and more.
Noonan was also a part of last spring's graduating class of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. The academy is an invitation only program, where leaders in state, local, military, and international law enforcement are selected for 10 weeks of training.
Noonan was one of 256 law enforcement officials selected for this year's academy. he said it was an honor to be able to represent the Foxborough Police Department at the national level.

Following the promotion, Foxborough police said Noonan's work ethic and strong relationship with the community made him the right choice for deputy chief.
"Deputy Chief Noonan's work ethic and commitment to the agency and to the residents of Foxborough is shown daily in his innovative thinking and program development within the department," Foxborough police said in a Facebook post. "He has demonstrated his ability to mentor others and continues to develop and strengthen relationships within the community and with other public safety agencies."
