FOXBOROUGH, MA — Like many police departments throughout the state, Foxborough took part in selling special patches throughout April to help raise money for Autism Awareness Month. The goal of Autism Awareness Month is to educate others, promote inclusion and hear success stories of those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Foxborough police more than reached that goal by the end of the month, selling every patch the department purchased for the campaign. The police department raised $3,000 for Foxborough's local Kennedy-Donovan Center, a nonprofit which helps people with developmental delays, disabilities or family challenges reach their full potential. The check was presented to the nonprofit at a ceremony at the Foxborough Public Safety building Monday morning.

"The Foxborough Police Relief Association is grateful to have had the opportunity to support such a worthy cause," said Foxborough Detective Patrick Morrison. "Thank you to those who purchased a patch and helped support this project."
