Foxborough's Maria Stephanos Returning to TV
Stephanos will join WCVB this week as a co-anchor.

FOXBOROUGH, MA - Local resident and well-known news anchor Maria Stephanos will return to television this week.
WCVB announced Monday that the Foxborough resident will join the station as the co-anchor of NewsCenter 5 at 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. with Ed Harding. She will also anchor a 10 p.m. news program to air on WCVB’s second television station MeTV Boston.
“I’m thrilled to be back on local TV!” said Stephanos in a statement. “WCVB is my new home, and I couldn’t be prouder to be joining this team of dedicated and talented journalists.”

Last year, Stephanos quietly left FOX 25 after 18 years as a news anchor and reporter. Prior, she was a reporter at WJAR in Providence, WBUR in Boston, and WCBS and WABC in New York.
Stephanos starts her new job on Feb. 4.
