Gillette Stadium May Face Fine for Late-Running Bruce Springsteen Show
The Boss' lengthy show could mean a financial penalty.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — The crowd inside of Gillette Stadium Wednesday night might have gone home happy after a four-hour Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band show, but that lengthy performance might result in a fine for the act's host despite a 15-minute curfew extension from 11:15 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
With a finishing time of 11:56 p.m., the show went 26 minutes over curfew. The show got off to a late start due to a late arriving crowd. With the fans slow to arrive at the stadium, the show, which was scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m., didn't start until 7:54 p.m.
According to the town's fine structure for concerts at the stadium, a show that goes no more than 30 minutes past curfew is subjected to a fine of up to 50 cents per attendee. About 51,000 fans attended Wednesday's show.

Springsteen is now the second act to go past curfew this year. In July, Guns N' Roses went past curfew for both of their shows, with the selectmen voting to issue a warning for the violation.
