Gillette Stadium to Request Extended Curfew for Taylor Swift Show

Gillette Stadium officials will be in front of the selectmen Tuesday night to request an extended curfew.

With a show loaded with four acts and high production values, Gillette Stadium officials are hoping to add 25 minutes to the Taylor Swift concerts this weekend.

The request will be made Tuesday evening at the selectmen meeting at 7:20 p.m.

In a letter from to Town Manager Bill Keegan from stadium officials, the extra time is needed due to the addition of a fourth act and the highly produced and technical nature of the show. In February, it was announced that HAIM would join Swift and openers Sean Mendes and Vance Joy on the tour.

If approved, the first act is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. with Swift taking the stage from 9:20 p.m. to 11:40 p.m.

Extended curfews are not unheard of for stadium concerts. In 2010 and 2013, Bon Jovi received an extension.

The shows on July 24 and 25 will be Swift’s sixth and seventh shows at the stadium.

Prior to the curfew extension request, the board will hold a public hearing for September’s Ed Sheeran concert.
