Gillette Stadium Weapons Suspect Thrown Out of Hotel Prior to Arrest

Prior to his arrest, Matthew Bromson was allegedly thrown out of a local hotel.

A Connecticut man arrested on New Year’s Day in a parking lot for Gillette Stadium employees had issues at a hotel during the previous evening.

WHDH reports that Matthew Bromson, 48, was allegedly thrown out of a nearby hotel on New Year’s Eve. Police were called to help settle him somewhere else.

The next day, police arrested Bromson after a report of a suspicious person located in an off-site parking lot for stadium employees. During a search and investigation of the suspect’s vehicle, an electric stun gun and several sharp-edged weapons were recovered.

Bromson was charged with trespassing, disorderly conduct, possession of an electric stun gun, and three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon.

He is scheduled to be arraigned in Wrentham District Court Monday.
