"Great Run" From Chief O'Leary Come to End
Friday afternoon, the Foxborough Police Department gave Ed O'Leary one final salute before retirement.
FOXBOROUGH, MA — With nearly four decades of service to the town, Foxborough is heading to a place it hasn't been in some time - a police department without Ed O'Leary.
After 31 years as the police chief, O'Leary, with his wife Claudia, left the Foxborough Public Safety building as the chief for the last time. Following a flag ceremony at the front of the building, O'Leary left work one more time, passing the men and women of his department. Following his departure, a police detail led him home.
"I want to thank you for all the partnerships we've had. We had a great run," O'Leary told those at the salute.
