Here Are The Patriots' Odds To Beat The Jets In Week 6

The Pats are getting at least one key player back as they look to continue ascending.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — The Patriots are looking for their third-straight win after a dominant home victory last week as they welcome a division opponent to town.

The 3-2 Patriots are hosting the 2-3 New York Jets at Gillette Stadium this Sunday for a Week six matchup.

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, New England is a 7.5 -point favorite against New York. Traditionally, home teams are usually handicapped three points in matchups that are not considered one-sided toward one team. The Pats were only 3.5 point favorites against the Las Vegas Raiders last week and handily covered the spread with a 45-17 win. Quarterback Drake Maye followed up a clutch rebound performance in Buffalo with arguably the best performance of his career. The third-year gunslinger accounted for five total touchdowns, spread the ball to nine different receivers, and had a nearly-perfect 150.9 quarterback rating as he dismantled Las Vegas’s defense. The effort was even more impressive with receivers such as Mack Hollins and A.J. Brown not playing. The defense also had an outstanding performance, holding the Raiders offense in check with the exception of a handful of plays from all-pro tight end Brock Bowers. Cornerbacks Marcus Jones and Charles Woods held their own against the receiving core that was dealing with deficiencies of their own. However, reinforcements look to be on the way as many injured players returned to practice this week.

Cornerback Christian Gonzalez returned to the practice field after a two-game absence due to a shoulder injury.

“I'm ready to go. I'm good now, ready for Sunday,” Gonzalez said in a press conference earlier this week. “I've been itching, kind of going a little crazy when I'm not getting to play. It's hard. You put in work with all these guys and then you don't get to be out there with them.”

Fellow cornerback Carlton Davis III will not be joining Gonzalez this Sunday as he misses his third game of the year with a neck injury. Fans expected players like left tackle Will Campbell and running back Treveyon Henderson to also be unavailable for at least one game as they both went down with injuries against the Raiders, however the base has been met with a pleasant surprise as both practiced this week and have a chance to suit up against the Jets.

“I feel pretty good. We'll see how things continue to go,” Henderson said in a press conference on Friday. “Nothing is guaranteed though, God willing I’m hoping that I’m able to play.”

Brown also returned to the practice field for the first time since suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week one. Head coach Mike Vrabel has not confirmed as of Friday whether Brown, Campbell, or Henderson will play.

It is no secret that the Patriots have owned the Jets for the better part of the 21st century, especially when they come to Foxborough. The Jets have a 2-18 record in their last 20 matchups against New England, with their last road victory coming in Bill Belichick’s final game as head coach for the franchise. Prior to that, Gang Green had not emerged victorious at Gillette since 2008. However, the 2026 version of the Jets is coming in with some confidence as they defeated the Browns in Week five with a dominant defensive performance. The Patriots will hope to crush any hopes the fanbase has and maintain the status quo.
