Here Are The Patriots' Odds To Beat The Packers In Week 9

This weekend is shaping up to be big for Patriots past and present.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — The Patriots are looking to make a statement in Week 10 with a victory in a marquee interconference matchup.

The 5-3 Patriots are hosting the 5-3 Green Bay Packers at Gillette Stadium Sunday evening.

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, New England is a 3 -point favorite against Green Bay. Traditionally, home teams are usually handicapped three points in matchups that are not considered one-sided toward one team. The Pats closed as 7-point favorites before kickoff last week on the road against the Miami Dolphins, however a late touchdown reception by the Fins stopped them from covering the spread in their 24-19 victory. The offense led by quarterback Drake Maye was able to produce enough in the second half to win last week, however the shorthanded unit has a challenge ahead of them against a Packers defense that has done well stopping their opponents’ passing games in 2026.

The Patriots will be without wide receiver A.J. Brown and running back Treveyon Henderson for the second straight game, with both of their short-term futures in doubt. After being on the injury report with an illness, Henderson announced Friday that he experienced neurological symptoms that caused him to be hospitalized for multiple days.

“I will continue working closely with specialists and physical therapists to focus on my recovery, as these symptoms have affected my strength, coordination, and some of my physical functions,” Henderson said in a statement. “ I am committed to doing everything necessary to return to full health.”

Brown continues to deal with a knee issue the all-pro has reportedly been dealing with for years that flared up after Week 7, and head coach Mike Vrabel officially ruled him out on Friday. However, fans could potentially see the absence of another injured reserve stint as a positive sign Brown will suit up again soon.

The offense is slated to get some reinforcements this week with the return of wide receiver Mack Hollins. Hollins was the most consistent target for Maye before he suffered a calf injury in Week four. The return of the big target could hopefully take some pressure off Maye and the remaining receivers. Another reliable target, tight end Hunter Henry, exited the game last Sunday with a foot injury and did not practice until Friday. He is one of seven players listed as questionable for this week.

Off the field, this weekend is expected to be one of fanfare with the return and celebration of Patriots legends and teams of the past. It is headlined by the return of quarterback Tom Brady, who is coming back to Foxborough for the first time as the lead color analyst for the Fox broadcast. Tight end Rob Gronkowski will also be back in town to be inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame on Saturday afternoon.

“I’m always excited to go back to that stadium to so many friends that over the years made such a positive difference in my life,” Brady said this week. “So many fun things this weekend, I gotta make sure I pace myself we got Gronk’s induction ceremony on Saturday, the game on Sunday, a lot of family and friends: it’s going to be an awesome weekend.”

Gronkowski played nine seasons in New England in which he earned many franchise and NFL records, including his 17-touchdown 2011 season which still is the most by a tight end in a season 15 years later.

“Being in my twenties, being on the Patriots, those were the best days of my life,” Gronkowski said on the Up & Adams show this week. “I’ll definitely be emotional.”

If that is not enough, 25 members of the 2016 Super Bowl LI championship team will also be in attendance and honored for the ten-year anniversary of the famous 25-point comeback. A win by the 2026 team could be the final ingredient needed to make this an unforgettable experience for Pats nation.
