Hernandez Lawyers Argue to Remove Evidence in Double Murder Trial
Hernandez faces a murder charge in a 2012 double murder case in Boston.

Lawyers for Aaron Hernandez asked a Suffolk Superior Court judge Tuesday to dismiss evidence against Hernandez in a 2012 Boston double murder case.
Defense attorneys for the former Patriots tight end argued that there is insufficient evidence to establish probable cause, according to WCVB. The defense also said evidence seized from an SUV Hernandez was in should be tossed because the search warrant relied on statements made by a man who failed a lie detector test.
The witness who made the statements was former Hernandez friend Carlos Ortiz, according to the Boston Globe. Lloyd is currently awaiting a trial for a murder charge from the Odin Lloyd shooting in 2013.
