Hired Mover Drank Homeowner's Alcohol: Police

Police say a mover helped himself to some adult beverages while working at a Foxborough home.

FOXBOROUGH, MA - A man helped himself to some adult beverages while working as a mover in Foxborough, police said.

On May 6 at about 5:06 p.m., police received a call from a Chestnut Street home for an intoxicated male hired as a mover. The caller told police that she believed that the man stole items from the house, according to the Foxborough Police Log.

When police responded, they discovered that the man, a 28-year-old from Marlborough, only stole the victim's alcohol, which he allegedly consumed while at the house. Police took the man into protective custody.

Because those taken into protective custody are not formally charged, the man’s name was not released.
