Joe Andruzzi Foundation Hosts Welcome Home Party for Nationwide Charity Motorcycle Rider
Event Marks Completion of The ONE Ride – a 14,000 Mile Solo Charity Motorcycle Ride Hitting Four Points of Continental United States

President of the Joe Andruzzi Foundation (JAF) and three-time Super Bowl champion Joe Andruzzi, his wife, Jen Andruzzi, Executive Director of JAF, and Foundation constituents will gather at Trinity Bar & Restaurant in Norton, MA to welcome home JAF-supporter Chuck Furey after his cross-country, 14,000 mile solo charity motorcycle ride, dubbed The ONE Ride.
Furey, who was with his family at JAF’s event at Forum Restaurant when the second bomb exploded during the 2013 Boston Marathon – created The ONE Ride as a way to recognize the national outpouring of help the nation showed to Boston after the tragedy. The charity ride – aimed at recreating that sense of national philanthropy with a peer to peer fundraising campaign and a lone “14,000 Miles of Giving” motorcycle ride to the four farthest points in America – has been raising money all summer for five foundations from across the country, including the Joe Andruzzi Foundation.
The ride, which started in Mansfield on June 9, is set to complete its mission on August 19 when Furey is expected to ride directly to Trinity Bar & Restaurant for JAF’s welcome home party & fundraiser. Tickets will include access to the event, appetizers, beer specials sponsored by Bud Light, and a live concert performance by musician Matt Thomas – with a portion of all proceeds benefiting JAF through the The ONE Ride.

ABOUT THE JOE ANDRUZZI FOUNDATION:
During Joe Andruzzi’s football career with the New England Patriots, Joe and his wife Jen were active locally visiting patients and families battling cancer. The Joe Andruzzi Foundation (JAF) was founded shortly after losing a close family friend to the disease, whom Joe met during his time with the Patriots. Through the foundation, they have continued to help raise money and provide support for families battling cancer, where Joe’s own diagnosis and treatment of the disease has helped drive the mission of JAF forward. The Joe Andruzzi Foundation is committed to providing help, hope, and a reason to smile for cancer patients and their families by contributing financial and emotional support when it is needed most.
