Mac Jones Misses Practice Due To Illness, Expected To Play Sunday
Jones was already dealing with a potential back injury, but neither an upset stomach nor the back issues are likely to sideline him.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Mac Jones is having a tough week health-wise, but he's still likely to play on Sunday, according to multiple reports.
On Thursday, multiple reports noted that the second-year quarterback missed practice due to an illness, and Tom Pellisaro said it was an upset stomach and isn't believed to be COVID-19 related.
Jones was already dealing with a back issue that forced him to get X-rays after Sunday's 20-7 loss against Miami. The quarterback did complete a full practice on Wednesday, and there's been no indication that he could miss Sunday's game against Pittsburgh.

The Steelers are coming off a win against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 1, the team which represented the AFC in the Super Bowl in 2022. Meanwhile, the Patriots will try to reverse their fortunes after starting the year 0-1.
ESPN's Ed Werder noted on Twitter that the Patriots haven't started 0-2 since 2001, the longest-standing mark in the league. On Sunday, they'll try to keep the streak alive.

From the brilliant mind of @EpKap: The Patriots, Packers and Cowboys all lost in Week 1 and they have the 3 longest active streaks in the NFL without starting a season 0-2. Patriots not since 2001, Packers 2006, Cowboys 2010.
