Medford Man Pleads Guilty to Soliciting Sex from Foxborough Minor
Peter Campobasso of Medford, pleaded guilty to attempting to pay for sexual conduct with a child among other charges.

A 31-year old Medford man arrested for soliciting sex for money from a 15-year-old Foxborough girl has admitted to the crime in Norfolk Superior Court.
Peter Campobasso, 31, of Vista Avenue in Medford, pleaded guilty to attempting to pay for sexual conduct with a child, enticement of a child under age 16, and enticement via electronic communication for prostitution, according to District Attorney Morrissey.
Campobasso was sentenced by Judge Peter Krupp to two and a half years in a house of correction, with one year to serve and the balance suspended for four years. Campobasso is to be on probation during those four years.

Assistant District Attorney Anne Yas asked the court to impose a sentence of five to seven years in a state prison, with five years of probation supervision with GPS monitoring and other significant controls on his behavior after release,
In April, Mansfield police executed a search warrant at the home of Campobasso pursuant to a report of a man offering a different girl, from Mansfield, money for sex.

When police asked him if he had a certain phone number obtained during the investigation, he said he did but claimed the phone was lost. Officers then called the number and heard the phone ringing in the Campobasso’s bedroom.
Information in the phone led Mansfield police to contact Foxborough police, who began to investigate what appeared to be a conversation between Campobasso and the underaged girl from Foxborough. In the conversation, Campobasso attempted to meet the girl and pay her for sex.
Mansfield police arrested Campobasso on April 18, 2014, the day before he planned to meet the underaged girl from Foxborough.
Campobasso also faces charges in a separate case for enticing a minor to pose nude. In the Mansfield case, he is accused of attempting to convince a 12-year-old girl from Mansfield to send him nude photos in exchange for cash. The charges in that case remain pending.
