New England Patriots Have Their Divisional Round Opponent

The Patriots' playoff run starts Saturday night at Gillette Stadium.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — The New England Patriots will face a familiar opponent next Saturday at Gillette Stadium.

With the AFC Wild Card games wrapped up, the top-seeded Patriots will face the fourth-seeded Houston Texans Saturday night at 8:15 p.m. The Texans defeated the Derek Carr-less Oakland Raiders 27-14. In the other Wild Card game, the third-seeded Pittsburgh Steelers clinched a trip to Kansas City with a win against the six-seeded Miami Dolphins.

Earlier this year, a Patriots team led by Jacoby Brissett at quarterback handily defeated the Texans 27-0. A win by the Patriots would send the team to their sixth straight AFC Championship game.
