Each year the Foxborough American Legion color guard, VFW honor guard, FHS Band buglers, along with several town officials, community pastors and local residents meet at 7 a.m. to pay tribute in a time-honored tradition of flowers, the Colors, rifle salute and taps at the cemeteries.

This year they start on the Common at 7 a.m. by raising, then lowering a 20' x 30' American Flag to half-staff for the first time. Our next stop is Rock Hill Cemetery (7:30 a.m.), then St. Mary's Cemetery, then East Foxborough Memorial Square, to lay flowers, rifle salute, and taps at each.
