Old Fire Station Hits Auction Block

Want to own the old fire station property? You’ll have a chance to bid on the building in the near future.

Recently, the former home of the Foxborough Fire Department was placed on the bidding block. The auction is being handled by the Zekos Group, according to signs posted on the building. The firm specializes in surplus real estate for towns in Massachusetts.

There is no date listed for the town ordered auction.

The effort isn’t the town’s first effort to find a new use for the property. Last year, the town sent out a request for proposals, with town officials attempting to bring a restaurant to the center of town. No proposals, however, were received.
