One Injured in Two-Car Accident Near Route 95/495 Interchange

One person was injured Sunday afternoon after a two-car accident on Route 95 south near the Route 495 interchange.

At about 2:23 p.m. Sunday afternoon, a minivan in the breakdown lane with a flat tire was struck by a vehicle driven by 30-year-old Adalberto Funes of Providence, according to the Sun Chronicle. Funes was charged with marked lanes violation and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

The injured party was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with serious, but non life-threatening injuries.
