Over $4,000 Raised for Booth Playground Castle

The funds come from a matching program sponsored by TD Bank.

Over $4,000 has been raised to help the castle at the Booth Playground thanks to the efforts of the community and TD Bank.

Last week, TD Bank on Central Street hosted a community coin counting event that raised $2,167.94 for the Castle at Booth Playground. TD matched $2,000 in coins counted.

A center for recreation and sports, the playground’s wooden castle was built 30 years ago by Eagle Scouts according to a release from TD Bank. However, five years ago, vandals destroyed the castle, which is now in danger of being condemned. Efforts to restore the castle have been undertaken by the Friends of Foxborough Recreation, but funding isn’t available.
