Partners in Patriotism Donates $5,500 to FHS DECA Program
"This amazing experience for these students would most likely not be possible without the support of the Partners in Patriotism Fund."

From Partners in Patriotism: The Foxboro High School DECA program recently received a $5,500 grant from the Partners in Patriotism (PIP) Fund, a nonprofit organization established by the Kraft family and dedicated to the Foxboro community and its residents, to support the students’ upcoming trip to the 2018 DECA International Career Development Conference and Competition in Atlanta.
Ten FHS students have qualified for this year’s conference and competition, which will be held April 21-24 at the Georgia World Congress Center. DECA is a business-oriented nonprofit, focused on educating students on the various aspects of business and giving them opportunities to experience real-world business in an academic setting.
The FHS DECA program has earned success since its inception in 2014 and the PIP Fund has been a large financial contributor of the chapter, awarding $18,500 in grants since 2015 to give FHS DECA students the opportunity each year to participate in the International Conference and Competition.

“To me, the grant is the factor that makes the whole trip possible,” said FHS junior Aidan Davin. “Without this grant, I don’t think any of us would really be able to pay for the whole trip and that’d be really unfortunate to miss out on such a unique opportunity.”
Davin’s sentiments were shared by FHS senior Caitlin Brightman, a four-year member of the school’s DECA team.
“The PIP Fund grant is so amazing because it shows that the community supports our growth throughout the year,” Brightman said. “We’re so grateful that we can attend this conference, because without the PIP grant we most likely wouldn’t have been able to attend.”
