Patch Patriots Roundup: Early Call Time For Pats In Germany

FOXBOROUGH, MA — From one journalist to another, congratulations are due to all the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts beat reporters getting to enjoy the wonderful German beer and food this weekend.

The Patriots are in Frankfurt this weekend for the second of two matchups on the league schedule in Germany, following last weekend's Kansas City Chiefs vs. Miami Dolphins game.

For fans stateside: Set those alarms for Sunday morning, as the game airs at 9:30 a.m. Eastern.

For some players, like Demario Douglas, it will be their first time traveling abroad.

“This is my first time out of the country,” Douglas said, according to Boston.com. “So, it’s going to be different, a different atmosphere.”

New England will again look to right the ship as the palace intrigue continues to grow regarding the Bill Belichick- Robert Kraft relationship.

J.C. Jackson

The Athletic reports that J.C. Jackson won't travel with the team for the game this weekend, staying back stateside as his teammates go abroad.

Jackson was a bet for the Patriots after his time in Los Angeles was defined by a lack of production.

The cornerback wasn't a starter last week against Washington just a few weeks after he arrived in New England.

A Pro Bowler in 2021 who led the NFL in passes defended and generated 17 interceptions during his final two seasons in New England, Jackson suffered a patellar tendon tear in Week 7 last year after he dealt with injuries earlier in the season, too.

It's unclear how the rest of his season will play out in New England.
