Patrick Chung Accused Of Cocaine Possession In NH

MEREDITH, NH — Veteran New England Patriots safety and three-time Super Bowl winner Patrick Chung was accused of cocaine possession in New Hampshire, according to a report Thursday. The Laconia Daily Sun said Chung, 32, was indicted Aug. 8 on one felony count of drug possession by a Belknap County grand jury.

Chung will be arraigned Wednesday, The Sun reported. He lives in Meredith, according to the newspaper.

The 32-year-old signed a contact extension in April after he won his latest Super Bowl during two stints with the Patriots.

"We are aware of the reports regarding Patrick Chung," the Patriots said in a statement Thursday. "We will not be commenting while his judicial proceedings take place."

The Patriots play their third preseason game Thursday at Gillette Stadium. Chung has been on the physically unable to perform list after breaking his arm in the Super Bowl and undergoing offseason shoulder surgery.
