Patriot Place to Host 6th Annual Irish Festival on March 14

The popular St. Patrick's Day celebration at Patriot Place to feature live Irish music, step dancing performances and free family events.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Irish eyes will be smiling and hearts will be happy at Patriot Place’s sixth annual Irish Festival on Saturday, March 14. The popular St. Patrick’s Day event brings the joys of the Irish culture with live performances by Irish musicians, step dancers and free Irish-themed activities for children of all ages.

Devri, a Boston-based band with major ties to Ireland, headlines several live music performances on the main stage located outside of Splitsville Luxury Lanes and Howl at the Moon in the North Marketplace.

The day will also feature Irish step dancing performances by The Greene-O’Leary of Needham, Mass., Westwood, Mass., Milton, Mass. and Dedham, Mass., the School of Irish dance of The Harney Academy of Walpole, Mass., the Dunleavy Shaffer School of Irish Dance of Norwell, Mass., and the Sullivan School of Irish Dance of Newton, Mass.

Throughout the festival, families will enjoy face painting stations, a photo booth, a sheep petting area and much more.

“The Irish Festival is annually one of Patriot Place’s largest free events of the year and one of my personal favorites,” said Patriot Place General Manager Brian Earley. “This event offers families a great way to celebrate the Irish culture through music, dancing and a number of free activities. I’m looking forward to a fun-filled day.”

Live Entertainment Schedule

11:00 a.m.

  • CBS Scene: CBS Scene Restaurant & Bar is your official Guinness Pouring Station this St. Patrick’s Day! Enjoy a Guinness served in a 20 ounce signature glass.
  • St. Paddy’s Day Party: Stop by Bar Louie for everyone’s favorite Irish menu items.

11:30 a.m.

  • Irish Step Dancing: Stop by the main stage located outside of Splitsville Luxury Lanes and Howl at the Moon from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. to enjoy a performance by the Greene-O’Leary School of Irish Dance.

12:15 p.m.

  • Bagpipes and Drums: The Stuart Highlanders Pipe Band, a pipe and drum band specializing in the art of bagpipes, will be performing on the main stage. The band will depart the main stage at 12:30 and roam the North Marketplace until 1 p.m.

12:30 p.m.

  • Irish Step Dancing: Stop by the main stage from 12:30-1 p.m. to enjoy a performance by the Harney Academy of Irish Dance.

1:00 p.m.

  • Live Music: Stop by the main stage from 1-2 p.m. and listen to the fun, upbeat music of the William O’Wayz Band.
  • Live Music: Stop by CBS Scene Restaurant & Bar from 1-3 p.m. to enjoy a performance by The King’s Busketeers.

2:00 p.m.

  • Irish Step Dancing: Stop by the main stage from 2-2:30 p.m. to enjoy amazing Irish step dance routines by the Dunleavy Shaffer School of Irish Dance.

2:30 p.m.

  • Live Music: Stop by the main stage from 2:30-3:30 p.m. to enjoy an impressive mix of traditional Irish music, classic and modern rock by Devri.

3:30 p.m.

  • Irish Step Dancing: Stop by the main stage from 3:30-4 p.m. to enjoy an amazing performance of traditional Irish step dance routines by the Sullivan School of Irish Dance.

4:00 p.m.

  • Live Music: Stop by the main stage from 4-5 p.m. to enjoy a live musical performance by The Fenian Sons.

Live Music: Stop by CBS Scene Restaurant & Bar from 4-7 p.m. to enjoy a performance by the William O’Wayz Band.

8:00 p.m.

  • St. Paddy’s Bash: Let the luck of the Irish shine down on you at Splitsville Luxury Lanes and Howl at the Moon for a St. Paddy’s Day Howl show, beginning at 8 p.m. Free admission for anyone wearing green before 9 p.m.
  • Toby O’Keith’s Party: Wear your green, gather your friends and enjoy the festivities at Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill, beginning at 8 p.m.

Free Family Activities Schedule

11:00 a.m.

  • Winter Skate presented by Harvard Pilgrim HealthCare: Winter Skate is open for the Irish Festival! Enjoy ice skating on Patriot Place’s outdoor rink from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Enjoy half off the price of admission for anyone wearing green from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Skate rentals are not included.

11:30 a.m.

  • Face Painting: Children can enjoy Patriot Place’s face painting station and have their faces painted with a St. Patrick’s Day theme located outside of The Artist’s Studio & Gallery from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Caricature Artist: Families can enjoy Patriot Place’s caricature artist station located outside of Cupcake Charlie’s from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and watch as the artist turns a blank piece of paper into an amazing St. Patrick’s Day-themed scene with you in it!
  • Green Screen: Dress up and take fun photos for free in the Patriot Place green screen located inside the Patriot Place Activity Center between Red Robin and Capriotti’s. Green screen is open from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Irish Kids Coloring Station: Children can enjoy a coloring station from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. located inside the Patriot Place Activity Center between Red Robin and Capriotti’s.

12:00 p.m.

  • Meet Pat Patriot: Visitors can meet the Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots mascot, Pat Patriot, who will be roaming throughout the North Marketplace, from noon to 2 p.m.
  • Animal Craze Sheep Petting Area: The Animal Craze’s live sheep petting area will make you feel like you are right in the heart of Ireland. These friendly sheep are a great photo opportunity for families. The petting area, located across from Victoria’s Secret, will be open from noon to 4 p.m.
  • Alex and Ani Prize Wheel: Shop at Alex and Ani and once you make a purchase you will earn a chance to spin the prize wheel! Everyone who spins the wheel will win an Irish-themed gift!
  • Irish Kids Crafts: Children can enjoy Irish crafts from inside the Patriot Place Activity Center located between Red Robin & Capriotti’s from noon to 4 p.m. (While supplies last).
  • New England Revolution Fan Zone: Guests can enjoy a New England Revolution Soccer Kick and FIFA video game station located inside the Patriot Place Activity Center from noon to 4 p.m. with appearances by Revs mascot, Slyde, and the Revs Girls.
  • Irish Village: Visit the Irish Village across from Splitsville Luxury Lanes and Howl at the Moon and enjoy Irish crafts and merchandise, including Bridget’s an Irish Tradition, Eire’s Irish Imports and more. Irish Village is open from noon to 5 p.m.
  • One Mission – Buzz Off for Cancer: An information booth will be located inside the Irish Village (across from Splitsville Luxury Lanes and Howl at the Moon) from noon to 5 p.m.
  • KIND Bars Snacks: Enjoy KIND Bars snacks outside of Bar Louie from noon to 4 p.m.
  • Mix 104.1 Street Team: Visit the Mix 104.1 Street Team outside of Old Navy from noon to 2 p.m.


1:00 p.m.

  • WROL Live Broadcast: WROL Irish 950AM will broadcast live from inside the Irish Village (across from Splitsville Luxury Lanes and Howl at the Moon) from 1 to 3 p.m.

2:00 p.m.

  • AMP Radio Street Team: Visit the AMP 103.3 Street Team located outside of Old Navy from 2-4 p.m.
