Patriot Place to Host Harvard Pilgrim Finish at the 50 Road Races, Fireworks Spectacular on July 3
Full lineup of free family activities scheduled for July 1-3 at Patriot Place; Free fireworks spectacular scheduled for 9 p.m. July 3.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – On Friday, July 3, thousands of runners and walkers will be participating in the sixth annual Harvard Pilgrim Finish at the 50, a 5K and 10K road race and fireworks spectacular at Patriot Place.
As a result, the following Foxborough roads will be closed to vehicle traffic during the 10K race from 6:45 to approximately 8 p.m.
· North Street from Route 1 to Putnam Parkway

· Young Road
Additionally, the following Foxborough road off of North Street will be impacted (no exit) from 6:45 to approximately 8 p.m.
· Meadowview Road
· Chase Lane
· Hallowell Road
· McKenzie Lane
· Munroe Street
· Mecastland Way
· Camp Road
· Ashcroft Lane
In the week leading up to the race, large race notice signs will be posted along the route to remind residents of the event and impacted roads. For any questions about travel before, during, or after the race, please email finish50@patriot-place.com.
Finish at the 50 kicks off on Wednesday, July 1, with numerous family activities throughout the Patriot Place, including:
· Caricature Artist (4 p.m.) – Watch outside the Patriots ProShop as Patriot Place’s talented caricature artist turns a blank piece of paper into an amazing firework scene with you in it!
· Bounce House (4-8 p.m.) – Bounce around all afternoon in one of Patriot Place’s bounce houses located on NRG Plaza outside of the Patriots ProShop.
· New England Revolution Fan Zone (4-8 p.m.) – Visit the New England Revolution Fan Zone on NRG Plaza outside the Patriots ProShop and participate in soccer-related activities.
· Summer Flicks presented by Renaissance Boston Patriot Place (6 p.m.) – Patriot Place will kick off its 2015 outdoor movie series on NRG Plaza outside The Hall at Patriot Place presented by Raytheon with a showing of the New England Patriots film, “3 Games to Glory IV,” and “Muppets Most Wanted.” The films begin at sunset. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs.
The free family activities continue on Thursday, July 2, with balloon artists, face painting, henna artists, live music and more. At 6:30 p.m., Gillette Stadium will host the Drum Corp International: East Coast Classic featuring an incredible lineup of world, open and all-age class corps. On Friday, July 3, guests and participants alike will find more free activities and live music building up to the Kids Fun Run, which allows children ages 2-12 to run a lap inside Gillette Stadium and end on the 50-yard line of the stadium field, and the 5K and 10K road races. The 5K is run completely on the Patriot Place campus while the 10K includes both Patriot Place and Foxborough roads.
Both the 5K and 10K races end in thrilling fashion as participants emerge onto the stadium field to the cheers of thousands of fans as they charge the finish at the 50-yard line.
Finish at the 50 organizers are again inviting Foxborough residents who reside along the course route to participate in the community cheering contest, “Show Us Your Patriotism.” Residents are encouraged to deck out their homes in the best red, white and blue and help cheer runners on. The residence with the best show of patriotism will win a grill from Bass Pro Shops and a Trader Joe’s gift card.
A portion of the proceeds from each race entry will be donated to Finish at the 50’s race beneficiary, the Kraft Center for Community Health, to assist in improving access to high-quality health care in our communities. Following the races, which begin at 6 p.m. with the 5K and 7 p.m. with the 10K, Patriot Place will host a free fireworks spectacular at 9 p.m. The display will last for more than 20 minutes, the same length as Boston’s annual July 4 fireworks, and will be accompanied by a musical score available by tuning into Dean College Radio, Power 88 FM, at 88.3 FM, or streaming online at www.power883.org. Families can watch the fireworks show from inside Patriot Place’s North Marketplace or from the parking lots around Patriot Place.
