Patriots Player Likely Out For Season After Injury: Report
New England's third preseason game took a toll on the roster.

The worst part about preseason football is players getting hurt in meaningless exhibition games. The Patriots were reminded of that Thursday night, losing special teams ace Brandon King to a torn quadriceps that will likely cost him the season, according to The Boston Globe.
King was carted off the field during a first-half punt return against Carolina.
King, 26, found himself a spot as a specialist for New England. He's been a part of two Super Bowl-winning teams.
