Patriots Reveal First Renderings of Field Level Lounge at Gillette Stadium

Get ready for a new sight in the south end zone at Gillette Stadium next season.

Last week, New England Patriots fans received details and renderings of the stadium’s new exclusive lounge called the Optum Field Lounge from the team in the mail.

The brochure told fans that the lounge will have a climate-controlled open space with a large glass window facing the field according to the Boston Globe.

Members of the lounge will enter through a special entrance and will enjoy premium food, an upscale bar, private restrooms, HD televisions, and “media walls.”

Renderings of the space show an area near the field that would allow members to watch the game outside from behind the south end zone.

Other amenities include early access into the stadium before games, the ability to reserve the lounge for private events, and appearances by Patriots cheerleaders and alumni.

Membership to the lounge will be made available to season ticket holders in good standing. Passes cost $1,500 for one year with a purchase of at least two memberships required. The cost is in addition to the price of the season tickets. A three-year membership costs $1,250 per year with a required purchase of at least two memberships.

Those with access to the lounge would be allowed to move between their seats and the lounge.

About 1,500 seats will be removed to make way for the new lounge. Earlier this year, some season ticket holders expressed their frustration about losing their seats. Those impacted by the lounge were given the option to upgrade their seats or move to a different part of the stadium at a lower price point.

Construction is expected to start at the end of the football season and finish in July.
