Patriots Valued At $6.4 Billion And Climbing: Forbes
The franchise's value soared by $1.4 billion from 2021 to 2022, according to a new study by Forbes. Only one NFL franchise is worth more.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — The New England Patriots are a premiere organization both on and off the field, and that includes how valuable the team is as an investment for owner Robert Kraft.
Forbes released the annual list of the most valuable NFL franchises recently, and the Patriots rank second only behind the Dallas Cowboys after their valuation skyrocketed by $1.4 billion. That ranking series — the Cowboys in first and the Patriots in second — is consistent throughout Forbes findings in both 2021 and 2020.
Far ahead of the pack are the Dallas Cowboys, valued at $8 billion in 2022, followed by the Patriots at $6.4 billion and then the Los Angeles Rams at $6.2 billion. For the Patriots, their value has ballooned by $2 billion since 2020.

For context into not only the growth of the team, but also the league, Robert Kraft bought the franchise in 1994 for $172 million. Suffice to say, Kraft has achieved a desirable return on investment.
The team's total revenue last year was $651 million, according to the study's findings, with $242 million in player expenses and a $57 revenue-per-fan mark.

On the field, the Patriots are still transitioning from the dynasty that was built by Bill Belichick and Tom Brady. With Mac Jones, the team is confident they've found their quarterback of the future. Now, Belichick and the front office must find the pieces to support their young quarterback, which includes a new play-caller after Josh McDaniels departed for the head coaching job in Los Vegas this offseason.
